CBS Leads Daytime Emmy Nominees!

CBS sits atop the heap among the nominees for the 35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

The Eye picked up 56 nominations for the awards, including 17 for its soap opera The Young and the Restless," which led all shows. Two of the network's other daytime dramas, "Guiding Light" and "As the World Turns," also fared well, picking up 13 and 12 nominations, respectively.

PBS earned 50 nominations, while ABC has 39.

The Daytime Emmys this year split the talk-show nominees into two categories. "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "Rachael Ray" and "The View" are up for best talk show/entertainment, while "Dr. Phil," "The Tyra Banks Show" and PBS' "A Place of Our Own" will vie for best talk show/informative.
