Entry #7 (16th May 2008)

Hey everyone,

First of all I would like to say thank you to ALL of the people who have sent me their condolences to my email accounts, and those of you who commented on the blog entry itself, it really meant alot to me to see everyone being so supportive and caring.

Secondly, I would like to say that TV Hot Spot WILL BE COMING BACK! I did not want to leave you all in the dark and not let you know what was happening at the moment and so I decided to come online and write this post up.

The blog will be returning on the 1st of June 2008. That is just about 2 weeks away, so I hope some of you can wait until then! Of course this is not only because of the passing of my grandmother last week, but also to the added pressure of Final Exams which I am sure most of you are going through as well.

So just as an update, the site will be back up on the 1st of June 2008, and will feature alot of new cool things I have planned for Summer.

Thank you all again for your support and love, and I am praying that all the positive energy that was sent to me could come back to you a hundred times more.

Blessed Be,

Bye for now!

Entry #6 (8th May 2008)

Hello again,

As all of you know, the blog has been inactive for the whole of yesterday due to me travelling back home to visit my grandmother who fell very ill. Unfortunately she was not strong enough and she passed away early this morning.

This is a Blog Entry stating that TV Hot Spot will be DOWN. I don't really know for how long, but the blog will be down for obvious reasons.

I hope that you will all be patient with me during this hard time, and hopefully the site will be back up and running soon.

Thank you again for understanding,

Blessed Be,

Bye for now!

(Warning! Might contain SPOILERS!)

Latest from Kristin:

Erin in Villanova, Pa.: Any more 30 Rock scoopage you can share with us? The suspense is killing me!

According to Jack McBrayer: "We find out that Alec Baldwin is in Washington, D.C., working with Matthew Broderick, who is a guest star. And my character, Kenneth the Page, will be applying to be a page at the Summer Olympics in Beijing, and I face all sorts of obstacles with that. I had to learn Chinese! That did not go well at all." Oh my god I love that show. I would say it to you in Star Wars, but I don't know how.

(Warning! Might contain SPOILERS!)

Latest from Kristin:

Marcus in San Diego: I saw your scoop on someone leaving ER. It's not Abby who dies is it?

No, it's not. Two people will be put in danger in this month's season finale, and then we'll find out who's six feet under in the fall. But it's not Abby.

Lara in Albuquerque: I'm loving Gates and Sam on ER. Any dish?

John Stamos: "[Me and Linda's] real sex tape is not as crazy as the one we made for the show." (He kids!) (I think!) Sex tapes aside, Linda Cardellini says, "I think there's a chance that we might actually be happy, which is a huge change for my character, Sam. She's had a rough go of it." I'm hearing they are most definitely on next season.

Kerry Anne in Arlington, Mass.: What's going on with How I Met Your Mother?

Flashback! We'll be meeting little Robin when she was 6 years old and her puppy suffered complications from a "canine-testudine cerebro-xenograft." I can't explain what that is because you have to see it for yourself. It involves puppies, turtles and childhood tragedy.

Kristin: Brothers & Sisters!

Post by: Sal

Source: E! Online

(Warning! Might contain SPOILERS!)

(Warning! Might contain SPOILERS!)

Latest from Kristin:

Marcia in Baltimore: We need some Brothers & Sisters dish! I loved the video clips. They are all insane and I want to be their family. Is Rebecca definitely not a Walker?

DNA don't lie, babycakes! Or at least, not in this case. But if you've heard the rumors that there is another "R" who will be coming into the family, I can tell you they are true. It's a twist that will set up loads of drama for season three—which they are already filming—and will leave poor Nora Walker sobbing at the end of season two. Also, yes, there will be a kiss between two people who haven't kissed before.

Teddy in Atlanta: Are Scotty and Kevin really getting hitched? Any more scoop on the Walker finale?

They are indeed tying the knot, and it'll be a tearjerker. But first, Dave Annable said: "There may or may not be a pseudo bachelor party, which is pretty fun. We always love those scenes when they write the brothers together—the crew hates it, because all we do is play jokes on each other all day." Sounds like heaven to me! Sources tell me that pseudo bachelor party actually will be a road trip to visit Scotty's parents in an attempt to convince them to come to the wedding...to no avail.

I feel ya! I can tell you that Lucas makes a call to either Lindsey or Peyton and suggests marriage again. In other news, someone’s gonna get hit by a car and Skills and Deb sleep together!

Tessa in New Orleans: They aren’t really going to kill off Dan on OTH are they? He’ll survive his condition or get a donor?

Gladly. I’m hearing that Lily is a two-timing tramp—hoooray! Reliable inside sources tell me that Lily cheats on Bart Bass the night before her wedding with...Any guesses? It’s pretty obvious, right? Rufus! Still, the wedding goes off without a hitch. Hmph! Something tells me we’ll be seeing much more of this love triangle in season two. And this also raises an ethical question: Can Serena be with Dan if his daddy is also with her mommy? A wee bit creepola, no?

Pilots: 'Yes, Dear' Star Joins NBC's 'Enemy'!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2it

Comedian and sitcom actor Mike O'Malley will cross over to drama next fall in NBC's new series "My Own Worst Enemy."

O'Malley, best known for CBS' "Yes, Dear," will play a co-worker of Christian Slater's in the show. Elsewhere, Andrea Anders ("The Class") has signed on to an ABC comedy from writer Victor Fresco, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"My Own Worst Enemy" stars Slater, in his first starring role in a TV series, as a suburban husband and father who discovers he has an alter ego, that of a ruthless superspy. He's apparently not the only one living a double life: O'Malley's character is described as a friend and co-worker of Slater's who doubles as a "brusque and violent" agent. The show is scheduled for a fall premiere.

O'Malley starred on "Yes, Dear" for six seasons. He co-stars in the George Clooney film "Leatherheads" and has appeared on several episodes of "My Name Is Earl."

The Fresco comedy at ABC centers on a guy who tries to do good things from within the large, amoral corporation where he works. Anders' credits also include "Joey" and "The Stepford Wives."

'Family Guy' Creator Signs Lucrative Fox Pact!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2it

Seth MacFarlane has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV which would reportedly make him the highest-paid writer-producer working on television.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new deal could be worth more than $100 million and it keeps MacFarlane at 20th Century Fox TV through 2012.

Among the properties covered by the pact are MacFarlane's current FOX shows "Family Guy" and "American Dad!," plus the "Family Guy" spin-off "The Cleveland Show," which is expected to be picked up to series for next season. It covers his roles as writer-producer on the three shows and also encompasses his capacity as lead vocal talent.

In addition to the three animated series, MacFarlane is also developing a live-action, multi-camera sitcom with "Family Guy" scribe Gary Janetti.

MacFarlane's previous deal with 20th Century Fox TV actually expired over a year ago and although negotiations have been active and ongoing, things haven't always been smooth between the wunderkind and his studio.

During the writers strike, MacFarlane expressed very public disapproval with the studio's decision to complete several episodes without his involvement. In addition, MacFarlane is part of a recent suit filed by 16 "Family Guy" writers against the studio stemming from the 2005 DVD "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story."

In order for MacFarlane's deal to reach the $100-plus million figure speculated in the trades, "Family Guy" would likely have to run for the duration of the pact and the other shows would likely have to move into a successful level of syndication.

J.J. Abrams' $60 million/5-year deal with Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. TV, inked in 2006, was considered to be the previous industry peak.

VH1 Goes for 'Money' Shot!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2it

VH1 is nothing if not thorough in exploiting its original series to their fullest degree. So it will be with the newest cog in the "celebreality" machine, a summer show called "I Love Money."

As the title indicates, the series will be about the pursuit of cash -- and extending the franchise of other VH1 shows with "Love" in the title. "I Love Money" will bring together 17 former contestants from the various seasons of "Flavor of Love," "Rock of Love" and "I Love New York" to battle for a $250,000 grand prize.

As VH1's Jeff Olde puts it, ""'I Love Money' is the perfect 'celebreality' storm as it takes the biggest, boldest and most outspoken characters from VH1's hit series and puts them on one giant show. ... We couldn't resist the opportunity to make those breakout characters the true stars of their own show."

Details about both the show and its contestants will roll out on the VH1 Blog over the course of this week. Monday the network announced four guys from "I Love New York" -- season one's 12 Pack, Heat and Mr. Boston and season two's The Entertainer -- as the first contestants.

"I Love Money," if you're keeping track, is a fourth-generation derivation of a VH1 show: "The Surreal Life" begat "Flavor of Love," which both spun off "I Love New York" and set the template for "Rock of Love." As with all the other shows, Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego are the executive producers.

'The Wire' Guy Joins '90210' Spinoff!

Post by: Sal

A new boy has joined the class in West Beverly High.

Tristan Wilds has landed the male lead in the CW's buzz-about " Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He joins the Mills family as their adopted son Dixon. So far, the three-generation family includes drunken grandmother Tabitha Mills (Jessica Walter), daughter-in-law Celia ( Lori Loughlin), granddaughter Annie (Shenae Grimes) and her son, who has yet to be cast. The family has moved to Beverly Hills because of Tabitha's alcholism.

Wilds joins the previously cast Jessica Stroup, AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan and Ryan Eggold.

Wilds, 19, is best recognized as tragic young gang member Michael Lee in the acclaimed HBO series "The Wire."

'Ghost Whisperer,' 'Star Trek: TNG' to Haunt Sci Fi Channel!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2it

Melinda Gordon and Captain Jean-Luc Picard are joining the Sci Fi fold.

The Sci Fi Channel has obtained the off-network cable rights to "Ghost Whisperer," along with access to shows such as "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Charmed" in the CBS library.

"Ghost Whisperer," which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as the aformentioned Melinda who talks to the spirits of those who need help in the physical world before crossing over, will launch on the cable network in fall of 2009, airing in a weekly four-hour primetime stack.

"The paranormal is very popular with our audience, as evidenced by the huge success of our original series 'Ghost Hunters' and 'Ghost Hunters International,' television's most popular paranormal franchise," says Thomas Vitale, the network's Senior Vice President of Programming and Original Movies. "As part of Sci Fi's primetime lineup, 'Ghost Whisperer' will appeal to our existing audience, while bringing in new viewers, including more women."

Mini-marathons and full-day marathons are also in the cards for the show, which will be simulcast in HD.

Sci Fi will also have access to CBS' extensive library that includes "Star Trek: TNG," premiering Monday, June 2, "Charmed," "Early Edition," "Highlander," "Friday the 13th: The Series" and "Mork & Mindy," among others.
