Miley Cyrus Apologizes for Semi-Topless Photo!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2It

Miley Cyrus hasn't been having a lot of luck with photos lately.

Last week, playfully provocative photos of her hit the Internet, and now she's worried about pictures that famed photographer Annie Liebovitz took of her for an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.

"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy," Cyrus tells People. "For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed."

In one photo, the "Hannah Montana" star appears to be nude with a sheet wrapped around her chest. Although Cyrus' family was on set for the photo shoot, they claim they left just before this last, more provocative shot was taken.

"Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines," says the Disney Channel, which broadcasts "Hannah Montana," in a statement.

Beth Kseniak, a spokesperson for both Vanity Fair and Leibovitz, counters: "Miley's parents and/or minders were on the set all day. Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley."

The magazine also includes an interview with Cyrus and her father, country star and actor Billy Ray Cyrus.

Cyrus also addressed the amateur photos that she and her friends took that circulated the 'net last week. In them, she was seen showing off her midriff, draped over the lap of her then-boyfriend and exposing a bright green bra.

"The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots," the 15-year-old acknowledges. "I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.

"Most of all," she adds, "I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life's journey."

'That's So Raven' Actor Not Missing After All!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2It

After a tense day when friends of Orlando Brown feared he was missing, the actor has turned up on his own.

The "That's So Raven" star, who went missing early Tuesday (April 22), showed up the following day explaining that he had needed some alone time.

The 20-year-old was at his manager's house when he decided to step out around 10:20 a.m. to the local 7-Eleven in Studio City, Calif., and failed to return. He had been scheduled for several meetings and appointments that day leading up to a photo shoot Wednesday.

His disappearance caused concern among his friends, family and co-workers. Friend and manager Ricky Romance had called local hospitals and posted MySpace bulletins repeatedly, seeking news of Brown's whereabouts.

"It was wrong for me not to inform my manager ... about my whereabouts, especially when I am usually so routine and big on communication, but I felt a little lost and needed to get away," Brown said in an extensive, page-long statement.

It appears that his disappearance was triggered by an incident the previous week when he was expected to open for a headlining act at Club Tattoo in Los Angeles. In the statement, he comments "how we as entertainers are so disrespected at times.

"I felt that that was my chance to prove that I was talented and I was really excited," he continues. "When I was told that I couldn't perform... that really hurt. ... It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to be alone."

He concluded by apologizing to and then thanking his friends and fans for their support.

Brown is best known as Eddie Thomas on The Disney Channel's sitcom "That's So Raven" alongside Raven-Symone. He's reportedly working on a spinoff.

Miley Cyrus to Write Memoirs!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2It

Miley Cyrus will soon influence young minds with the written word, not just her lyrics.

The "Hannah Montana" star has signed a seven-figure book deal with Disney Book Group.

The book will describe the teen's road to stardom, family stories, her inner circle of friends and the relationship with her mother Leticia as well as never-before-seen photos.

"I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me," Cyrus said. "I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams."

The book is scheduled for publication in spring 2009, around the same time as the "Hannah Montana" movie hits theaters.

Jonas Brothers Land Disney Channel Series!

Post by: Sal

Source: Zap2It

It's about time the Jonas Brothers landed their own TV series.

The pop-rock trio will be featured in their own reality series on The Disney Channel.

With the working title "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream," the series will follow the lives of Kevin, Joe and Nick -- aged 20, 18 and 15, respectively -- as they live with their parents and younger brother on their "Look Me in the Eyes" tour. Cameras will feature them performing on stage, during rehearsals, skydiving, go-cart racing and doing other shenanigans.

The series will appear as shortform segments, debuting in the spring.

The Jonas Brothers are a triple-platinum group that is popular with the teen and tween set. They've released two albums, "It's About Time" and "Jonas Brothers," the second of which was released by the Disney-owned Hollywood Records, have been featured in concert specials on Disney Channel and even guest-starred on an episode of the network's "Hannah Montana."
