TV Hot Spot: Big Day

Big Day Episode 3: Skobo and Alice Hooked Up

Review by: Sal

Hey guys! This is my last review for today. Any of you "Heroes" fans can now check out the latest trailer which was released not too long ago. But as for now, I will review the latest episode of this ABC series, "Big Day". Sorry for Shai's absence. She was supposed to do this with me today, and apologizes for not being here. So to begin with, I guess I will state the ratings for this latest episode. It ranked in a 3.2/5, which meant that it got around 4.5 Million Viewers. And now here is the bad news, this episode is down by nearly 2 Million viewers from last episode. Of course other series are on repeats, but that doesn't mean that this show in particular should do bad. Sadly, it did. Now what ABC will do with this series is completely up to them. Overall, the whole Tuesday night was down mainly because most shows are on a break.

So after that said, I guess I can start with the review of this episode. We begin where we left off. With the 'Seating chart' missing. Now throughout this episode we basically get an insight into Becca & Skobo's relationship. Now if you remember last episode Becca gave Alice a decision to make. And that was whether to have her or Skobo inside her wedding. When I first heard that I knew that they were going to give us a funny episode about it and I was right. The more I watch this series the more I like it and it kills me to see that the ratings are not helping.

The interaction between the cast members is also good. My two favourite characters in this series are Lorna the wedding planner, and Jane the mother of the bride. How they react to different problems in the series is hilarious and really fun to watch. Lorna's character is amazing and everytime I see her and how she acts around Jane is hilarious. It is like she isn't really the wedding planner, but more of a Jane-follower. Whatever the mother of the bride wants, Lorna will do as told.

Another thing we get out of this episode is a more in-depth look at Danny & Alice's relationship. Danny tries to solve the problems between Becca & Skobo but ends up making it worse which then results into him & his bride to be Alice to fight as well. The way the writers added this in was great and I really enjoyed seeing how they acted it out. Becca's little problem was then solved and she is now in the wedding again.

This series continues to amaze me. How the writers manage to make each episode only an hour or so of real life is beyond me. It's enjoyable and the best thing is, you don't feel like its rushed. The cast are fantastic to watch and with these current ratings I hope ABC does more to promote this series, because at this rate the series isn't going to last very long which is sad. Thanks for reading everyone! Hope you enjoyed the reviews & previews so far.

Take Care
