TV Hot Spot: The Hills

The Hills 2x02: When You Least Expect It

Post by: Sal

Another week, another episode. This MTV series has just begun its second season and has already been filled with shocking and happy moments. Each of the cast members have come a long way since their first appearances in the first season and have now managed to build up their lives, personally and with their careers. In this review I will talk about the show in general as well as comment on each of the cast members in the series! Sounds cool I know (lol). Ok so, this series caught my eye last year as it premiered and I couldn't wait for the second season to begin. An 'Unscripted Show' which has a good cast is always entertaining to watch!

First of all, Lauren. She has come a long way since the beginning of the series. After a whirlwind of romance and getting attention in her career, she was lost and didn't know what to do. In the season finale, last year, she chose her boyfriend over a perfect opportunity given to her by her job. Now with the new second season we found out that she broke up with Jason and is now full-on with her career. In this episode Lauren gets a chance to shine and proves her boss wrong. She doesn't want to be known as 'The Girl who didn't go to Paris'. She wants to shoot on with her career and its exactly what she is doing. I thought that was great for her. And as a bonus, she finds out that a guy (Brody) likes her. They did go on a date, and by looking at the trailer for next weeks episode...I can definitely say things are going to get HOT!

Heidi! Poor girl got a pregnancy scare after a few days of getting ill. The last episode ended with her taking a pregnancy test and in this episode she confirmed that she wasn't. I knew that the writers wouldn't include a pregnancy in the series. Not now obviously...Not sure how that one is going to turn out if it ever does happen. And that's not all! Her boyfriend, Spencer, is a player. Like I mentioned in the previous review. Spencer says he cares about Heidi, more than just 'like'. Yet he goes and flirts with Audrina. I don't get it. The guys weird and I hope Heidi and Audrina team up against him.

Speaking of Audrina. I feel bad for her as well. I don't think Heidi knows that its Spencer who is the problem and not Audrina. And by this little mistake, Heidi refuses to talk to Audrina. In next weeks episode, we see a confrontation. And I dont think that will end very well. And finally, Whitney. Haven't seen much of her in this episode. She is Nas's favourite (I think...I have to get back to him on that!). Hopefully we will get to see more of her in the next episode. Which airs on the 29th of January.

So I guess that is my short review of this short series. Thank you all for reading and if you have any comments or any favourites then please dont hesitate to leave your own comment!

Take Care xox
