TV Hot Spot: Men In Trees

Men In Trees 1x12: The Darkest Day

Review by: Sal

Hey readers. I am here with another review for the day. I decided to get most over and done with seeing as the new week is upon us. Ok so the latest episode of "Men In Trees" managed to bring in around 10.3 Million Viewers. Comparing it with the previous weeks, this episode got a so-so amount of viewers watching. The last episode managed around 8 Million and the one before that got around 12 Million, so you can see that the series has its ups and downs and that this episode managed to get just pass the half point.

So what can I say about this episode. Well even though done very well, I didn't like the fact that the writers filled this whole episode with sad and shocking things. Firstly, with Patrick and Annie. I hated how the writers ended this relationship, but in this episode the writers made me hate Annie even more. She was being very annoying in the episode and this is coming from a person who rooted for these two. I am glad that they are back together, but to be honest I think Patrick gave in a bit too quickly. He just came out and claimed his independence and Annie came back running...and what does Patrick do...runs back to her as well. I guess the writers wanted to fit in at least one happy thing in this episode.

Ben & Theresa are still going strong apparently. I had mixed thoughts about these two, but now I am glad that they are back together. You can see that there love still exists and that they are finally happy again. It is clear that when Theresa saw that Ben with Sara she ran back to him, but I am glad she did. Sometimes you don't know how much you love someone until they are gone, in this case with another woman. But, as we viewers think the episode is going to end well for this relationship, we see that Sara is back in town...

Jane & the PlowGuy (Sam). I loved these two together and was so sad that they had to break up. We could all see that the two were emotionally attached even though Jane tried her best to deny it. In a way she was being realistic, and long-distance relationships are very hard to keep going. So she decided to break it off...and they did. Although at the end of the episode you see Sam sending Jane a text message saying 'You Light Up My Life'....Whats in store for these two?

The writers give us a bit more Celia in this episode, and this time she has a bit of romance. Some viewers felt bad for Celia, a single mother and widower. But in this episode we see that her supervisor, who visits her quite a few times a year actually likes her! She finds this shocking, but then gives in to him. I like that the writers gave her a fling, its good to see her having fun. And the talk she had with Patrick, at the end of the episode, about seeing other people. I thought that was hilarious.

FINALLY, Marin & Jack. These two are on a rollercoaster. They love eachother, the dont love eachother, they love eachother again and they dont love eachother again. Its crazy. The writers continue to put us at the edge of our seat waiting for when these two lovebirds will finally get together and be in a stable relationship. The fact that Lynn is moving to Elmo isn't a good sign either, and Marin told Jack at the end that she wanted out before it gets too complicated. It was a smart move, but not something the viewers wanted to hear. I guess we have to continue waiting until we see what is in store for Marin...Will she EVER end up with Jack? Thanks for reading everyone, and comments will be appreciated.

Take Care!
