TV Hot Spot: One Tree Hill
One Tree Hill 4x11: Everything In Its Right Place
Review by: Sal & Shai
Sal: Hello everyone. I am here with Shai and we are about to review on a series which we are very excited is back and running, "One Tree Hill". The series has delivered us with 10 episodes in the past season and each one telling their own truth as to where the season is heading. Although, this season has started off with their 11th episode and we can already see more things being shown to us. Clarifications with different characters as to where their storylines are heading as well. So without further adue, I will pass you guys on to Shai who will discuss the latest episodes ratings. Hello Shai!
Shai: Hey Sal, I am glad to be here as usual and congrats again on hitting another milestone with your number of readers, I am sure you are happy with it (I know I am lol). So lets start with the ratings of the episode shall we. The comeback episode of "One Tree Hill" marked its lowest of the season, only managing to bring in around 2.2 Million Viewers. These ratings are suicidal and is basically because of "American Idol" which has started this week. Hopefully next week the numbers will pick up, because if they don't we might not see another season of "One Tree Hill".
Sal: "American Idol" has hit alot of series, dramatically. Many series from other networks are suffering but I dont think many have to when "American Idol" will go back into its usual timeslot. So now for the review of the episode. We started to take a look at what Lucas thought of everything that had happened. The accident, Dan, Haley, himself, and Keith. The words of what Keith told him were stuck in his head. But as it was just a 'dream' Lucas tries to supress it but can't. We also get to see him and Peyton moving on with their relationship but step on a tiny problem on the way. Peyton thinks she is bad luck...
Shai: I for one do think Peyton is bad luck. Look at her history record. Everyone she gets close to leaves her, or passes away. Hello!? A sign?! But other than that, Lucas gets to her in the end and they begin to act as one. Although I have to say that I think the writers are focusing alot on Peytons problems and I know that we all have our own individual problems, but sometimes when you listen to someone over and over again, it gets kind of annoying. I just wish the writers would give us a normal episode with this new couple. (Even though I am not happy about it!)
Sal: A bit biased maybe? (lol) Yes. Now we can move on to our special couple. Haley and Nathan. These two have been through alot and even though I am still shocked that the baby survived the accident, I still believe their love will last. And so, when I watched the promo for this episode I knew that the writers cannot break these two up. Their fanbase is too strong! So besides that, Nathan confesses to Haley that this was all his fault. Haley is at first shocked but then goes back to Nathan when he tells her that he will always be there for her and that everything he did was done to protect her!
Shai: Nathan was awesome in this episode. I am glad he was honest to Haley and told her everything. In the beginning of the episode, when he stated that he didn't know who Dante was and about his death I sort of felt a bit of a Dan-vibe around Nathan but when I saw that he was honest and actually wanted to turn himself in...that made me love him all over again...Oh and what was up with Dan in the episode?
Sal: Dan...Well I thought him in jail was the best thing the writers could ever do. And then, it vanished when they found out that Dante died in the accident and not in the hands of anyone else. Dan of course took the blame instead of his son and wanted to plead guilty so that he could pay for his sins of killing his own brother. I liked the idea, but when he was freed I was a bit dissapointed and thought that at least something would happen. Two final things in the episode. Jiji, Mouth & Debra!
Shai: I honestly think that Jiji is weird! But in the end made sense that she wanted to break up with Mouth just because she thought it wasn't going to work when he goes to college and the relationship turns into a long-distance type of thing. Althought I didn't like the fact that she was so cool about it, it was annoying me and I felt that she didn't care. I felt so sad for Mouth! And about Debra, I really liked the scenes with her because they were so funny! I don't think she should have gotten out, but I would have been happier with her recovering a little bit and not having her still being a drug addict. I just wish that she would be atleast a bit more stable!
Sal: Oh wait! How could I forget about the two most important characters in the episode. Rachel and Brooke! These two were like super-villians which worked their way into the school building at night to steal away some exam papers. It was basically Rachel lending a hand to Brooke who was failing in Calculus. While stealing the papers, they were caught but had an allibi of being in a group that was in the same building at the girls. The 'Clean Teens'. It was hilarious watching the two of them and how they treated eachother and the people around them. I can't wait for the episode next week to see how they deal with this new problem.
Shai: Ok guys. Our final thoughts on the episode would be that it was an enjoyable one, one worth waiting for and I am so excited that it is back on TV again. The next episode will air on the 24th of January which isn't really that far away! So I hope you all enjoyed the review! Thanks for reading and please leave comments if you like!
Take Care xox
