Hereos DVD Date SET!
Post by: Sal
Season One of Hiro, Claire, Peter and the rest of the superfriends is coming home on August 28 on DVD, HD-DVD.
Fans of Heroes are looking towards the season finale of the show with both anticipation and trepidation. On the plus side, the show will likely answer the question that has plagued viewers since the pilot aired last September: "Will the 'Heroes' be able to save New York City?"
On the negative side, it means no more new episodes until the fall as the series takes a break. However, Heroes fans won't have to spend the summer sewing up a new cape and matching tights, blogging conspiracy theories, and trying to spend spoons with one's mind to get their fix.
Universal Studios Home Entertainment today announced that the first season of Heroes will be released on DVD and HD-DVD on August 28, as previously leaked. The seven-disc set will feature all 23 episodes from the first season, as well as a wealth of extras.
The most prized extra is the unaired 73-minute version of the pilot episode, which features a never-before-seen character. Also included is the obligatory "making of" featurette, specials on the show's special effects, score, and stunts, a profile of Tim Sale and his comic-book style art, a minigame to test viewers' mind-reading abilities, and 50 deleted and extended scenes.
Heroes: Season 1 will retail for $59.99.
Take Care,
Sal
