'Scrubs' Star, New Wife Expecting a Girl

John C. McGinley, whose character on "Scrubs" just became a father again, will soon have that experience in real life.

The actor and his wife Nicole Kessler are expecting a child in the new year, reports People.

"We're having a baby," said McGinley at Wednesday's (Oct. 17) "Scrubs" Season 7 premiere party in West Hollywood. "I'll give you the inside scoop. We found out it's a baby girl, and she's coming February 2. So that's our big announcement. That's our big thing."

McGinley already has a 10-year-old son, Max, from a previous marriage and hopes to continue this fatherhood trend.

"Nicole and I want to have an army," he said. "You know, we want to have as many kids as we're lucky enough to have. I've always wanted to surround Max with brothers and sisters and that's what we're going to do."

McGinley met Kessler, a yoga instructor and birthing doula, when Max approached her on the beach. The couple wed on April 7 in a private ceremony at his Malibu home.

McGinley, 48, doesn't have any immediate plans for after shooting the final season of his hit NBC sitcom.

"Everybody keeps asking what I'm going to do after 'Scrubs,'" he admitted. "I don't know what I'm doing ... I'm going to take care of my little girl –- that's what I'm doing."
