'Kardashians' Picked up for Second Season

E! will keep up "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

The cable network has picked up a second season of the show, which chronicles the life of "pop culture darling" Kim Kardashian and her family, which includes her stepdad and former Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner. The show, produced by Bunim-Murray and Ryan Seacrest Productions, is tops on ad-supported cable in its Sunday timeslot among E!'s core audience of women 18-34.

"The buzz surrounding the series is huge and viewers have clearly fallen for the Kardashians," says Lisa Berger, head of original programming for the network. "Seacrest and Bunim-Murray's unique ability to capture this family's one-of-a-kind dynamics and hilarious antics has made the series a fantastic addition to our prime time lineup."

Kim Kardashian is famous for ... something, we're sure, and does seem to have a talent for showing up at places where there are lots of photographers and keeping her name and image out there. She's also the daughter of one-time O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian. The show also features her four sisters, brother Robert and mom Kris Jenner, who doubles as Kim's manager.

The show is averaging about a million viewers for its initial Sunday-night airings.
