ABC's "Brothers & Sisters;" "Dirty Sexy Money" to Shut Down Soon

Post by: Sal

Greg Berlanti, the executive producer of ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" and "Dirty Sexy Money" said on the picket lines on Thursday his shows will have completed 12 and 11 episodes respectively before shutting down in the next couple of weeks.

The cast and crew of "Brothers & Sisters" led by Sally Field (who appears to have gotten into both her Norma Rae and Nora Walker characters) and her on-screen sons Dave Annable and Matthew Rhys accompanied their show runner in protest on Thursday.

"Brothers & Sisters" is currently filming the 11th episode of the series "The Missionary Imposition," while "Dirty Sexy Money" has also begun work on the 11th episode called "The Fantini Brothers."

Both episodes were originally supposed to air in January as their storylines take place after the show's respective Christmas episodes. It is not clear when (and if) they will make it onto the air.

"Brothers & Sisters" appears to be a little further ahead in their production and may finish episode #12 because "Dirty Sexy Money" shut down production for a week in late August to do some fine-tuning.

13 scripts have been written for "Dirty Sexy Money" but with the writers and show runner walking out of production, the studio has opted not to film the last two scripts as they are often needed for last minute polishing of the scripts.
