'Frank TV' Keeps Impressing!

Frank Caliendo -- along with John Madden, Al Pacino, Robin Williams and President Bush -- is sticking around at TBS.

The cable channel has ordered eight more episodes of its late-night show "Frank TV," which features Caliendo performing his wide array of impressions (Jack Nicholson and Charles Barkley are also in his repertoire) in comedy sketches. The show has earned pretty solid ratings since its debut in November.

"Frank is one of the country's most popular performers for a reason: He's simply the best at what he does," says Michael Wright, head of original programming at TBS. "'Frank TV' has resonated with audiences because his style of comedy is so accessible. He laughs at the same things we all laugh at in the popular culture around us, and the show's sketches catch that comedic point of view perfectly."

"Frank TV" debuted to 3.2 million viewers -- big numbers for a late-night show on cable (the show's regular timeslot is 11 p.m. Tuesdays). The premiere also drew 2 million viewers in the adults 18-49 demographic, a record for a late-night series launch on ad-supported cable.

The show hasn't quite kept up that performance in the intervening weeks, but it still averages a solid 2.1 million viewers per week, with about two-thirds of those falling in the 18-49 demo.

The new episodes are slated to premiere later this year.

Take Care,

Sal
