Lohans Land E! Series!
Review by: Sal
E! has picked up a series that will follow the work and family lives of the Lohan family -- just not its most famous member.
The cable channel will debut the series, tentatively titled "Living Lohan," this summer. The show will focus on Lindsay Lohan's mom/manager, Dina, and her younger sister, 14-year-old Ali, who is trying to make a name for herself in show business. Brothers Cody, 11, and Michael, 20, will also appear, though Lindsay will not.
"The Lohans are one of the most intriguing families in the entertainment industry today," claims Lisa Berger, head of original programming at E! "This is a family that knows how to roll with the punches and come out on top. Dina is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining."
While E! acknowledges the "intense scrutiny" Dina Lohan has faced because of Lindsay's well-publicized troubles, the network also breathlessly touts the family's "great resiliency" and Dina's "refus[al] to live in fear of what others may think, despite being under the paparazzi microscope."
The series will also focus on Ali Lohan recording an album for the Interscope based Maloof Music. The recording takes place at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, which is also owned by the Maloof family, and -- hey, look at this -- Maloof Television is producing the show, along with Bunim-Murray.
