'The Riches' Star Expecting First Child!

Minnie Driver's series "The Riches" returns for its second season next week, but there was other, more personal news that the actress revealed on a late-night talk show.

The Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress announced on "The Tonight Show" Thursday night (March 13) that she's pregnant.

The news came to light after host Jay Leno joked that her weight gain looked like she had visited Hometown Buffet once too often, a crass comment that obviously showed he was in on the joke.

"Are you calling me fat? You've noticed my tummy, haven't you?" asked Driver, after which Leno asked if she were pregnant.

After confirming the pregnancy, Driver shared that she hasn't been faring well in the nausea department.

"I don't know why they call it morning sickness," she said. "I am sick morning, noon and night, but it's a fair trade-off."

The father's identity wasn't revealed. Previously, the 38-year-old actress had dated Matt Damon, whom she met on "Good Will Hunting," and later was temporarily engaged to Josh Brolin.

On "The Riches," Driver stars opposite Eddie Izzard as the head of a family of grifters. The second season will return for seven episodes beginning Tuesday, March 18.
