TV Hot Spot: The Game
The Game Episode 9: The Trey Wiggs Fallout Episode
Review by: Sal
Hey readers. Since I began this blog site, a week ago, I have not included some of the other shows that I watch mainly because some of them are on a 'break'. But this series, isnt. Umm lets see, 'The Game' is a new series this fall brought to us by the CW. (Who's network Execs I hate, but that story is for another day lol). So with the ratings first, this show has actually brought in a solid a performace for the CW. Every week averaging around 2.8 to 3.3 Million Viewers. This week, the episode scored a normal 2.9 Million viewers which is still good for a CW sitcom. 'The Game' is shown on Monday nights, which is accompanied by three other CW sitcoms, and I think it was a great fit because they build up the viewers who actually tune in to watch this new show.
The CW had 2 new series running this season, "Runaway" which was cancelled after only 3 episodes. While 'The Game' was renewed for a whole season after its 5th episode. Its a good thing because I actually like the show, unlike "Runaway" which wasnt really my taste. So on with the review!
Episode 9 was a continuation of the episode before. Derwin was mad at his wife Melanie because of embarrassing him, not only infront of his fellow teammates, but also probably to everyone who reads gossip magazines! Although, throughout the last episode and this one as well, I felt that Derwin was over-reacting. So what if his wife 'hangs' out with a guy. Is it her fault that she was taken a photo of and it was published in magazines as her having an affair? No...So why act that way...
Obviously he was jealous, and throughout the second half of the episode, Melanie's friends 'The Sun Beams' as they refer to themselves (Who I have to say are hilarious!) try and fix them back-together which in the end works...Thank god. I dont know if I could have stood another episode of him being mad at her.
A main part of the episode of course, was the pole-dancing. I thought that was so funny and so modern. Why just yesterday someone was talking about how pole-dancing helps relationships work out...Funny! Anyway, I guess that is all about this episode. Not much to say, although Shai is a HUGE fan! Its nice to see Tia Mowry filming something by HERSELF...the twin-thing is getting old...Thanks for reading! Leave your comments!
Take care
