Heroes Episode 9:
Homecoming

Hey guys. Im your Hot Spot TV Host, and this is my fourth review here on my blogspot. And the honour goes to "Heroes" episode 9, or 'Homecoming'. So lets beginning with the usual. The ratings breakdown. This show had recieved a whopping 16 Million Viewers. Sky-rocketing up high from their last ratings. Obviously because of the great promo which they released, "Heroes" was bound to do great and actually was claimed winner of monday night. So lets begin with the review..

Well surprise-surprise, Claire won the position of home-coming queen. And you could really see the slight transition she had from being a regular popular cheerleader in school, to actually standing up for the little people. And I thought it was cute that Zack has begun to fall for her. Or has he fallen for her from the very start? I actually like the interaction between these two characters and would like to see more from it. And with Claire's comment about her being nicer to him was actually a hint that something might stir up in the future.

Now, lets move on to Nathan for a minute. He destroys the painting...So we now know that he was actually hiding that fact from Peter. And says that in order to save Petre's life he has to destroy the painting. I have to admit that when I first saw this, I kind of thought that maybe Nathan was on the dark side. Maybe he knew something about it, and wanted to destroy the painting so maybe his brother Peter wouldnt get involved. But I am obviously still confused about him. Not sure whether he wants to accept his powers, or just ignore it. How much do we really know about Nathan and his knowledge of his own powers? Anyway, Peter finds the painting anyway (a digital photograph) and goes to Texas...to Save the Cheerleader...

Nikki/Jessica, gets introduced in the episode as well. With DL and Micah running away, Micah keeps on urging that they should go and return to their mother. He also tells DL and us (the fans) that he knows about Jessica. But he thinks that his mom is just ill. And goes into this pshyco mode where she turns into someone she is not. And probably is the main reason he wants to go back and help her. He might know what she is capable of and doesnt want her to go through with it...

We see Mohinder in the episode. And he finally sheds some light about this 'boy'. (Yes we can now confirm that the person he sees in his dreams is a boy) And one who has powers. To give answers to those who seek them. Mohinder eventually finds out his fathers password and gets access to his computer log of all the Heroes around the world. Now is it me? Or did I see a couple more than we were introduced to in the series. Interesting to see how that plans out...

No sign of Hiro as of yet. And the 'Evil Dad', who is looking less evil by the episode to me, tries to save his daughter from going to homecoming. That obviously fails and homecoming turns into a bloodbath. The last 10 minutes of the series, my heart was pounding, I didnt know what was going to happen. Looks like Sylar mistakes Claire for another cheerleader. And as soon as he notices, Peter comes to the rescue. I dont know if you can call it a battle between Peter and Sylar. But the lockers being thrown at Peter were cool. Although he gets killed....or does he? Soon after his 'fall' Claire walks in on his corpse, and all of a sudden Peter re-assembles his broken bones and is alive again. Which I found amazing! I sort of knew it was going to happen. In the back of my head. But it was cool to actually see it happen...

The ending of course. Eden (Pixie Girl) finally captures Sylar. With her power of suggestion. Looks like the little lady has some mighty huge power. And we FINALLY see a BIT of Hiro. But six months ago? I am waiting on the edge of my seat for the next episode. And cant wait to see what goes on with the heroes. Episode 9 'Homecoming' was exciting, it was interesting and dare I say one of the best episodes so far. This is your Host (Sal).
