Jerry Seinfeld Unscathed in Car Accident!
Post by: Sal
Jerry Seinfeld has lived to joke another day despite flipping his car.
The "Seinfeld" star was driving his vintage car in the Hamptons Saturday (March 29) when he made an emergency maneuver that caused his car to roll over, reports the New York Post.
At the heart of the accident were faulty brakes on his 1967 Fiat BTM. After the emergency brake also failed, Seinfeld swerved to keep the vehicle from veering into an intersection. This caused the Italian car to flip over before stopping a few yards from the highway.
Seinfeld was not drinking at the time and did not require any medical attention.
"Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do," says the comedian. "It is not something I plan to make a habit."
Despite this obvious show of humor, he was suitably shaken up after the accident.
"He was a little shocked when he walked in, and it started to dawn on him what happened," says his wife Jessica. "It could have been a lot worse, obviously, and thank God it wasn't. He's fine."
Seinfeld, 53, last appeared in animated insect form, lending his vocal talents to "Bee Movie"
