TV Hot Spot: Jericho

Jericho Episode 10: Red Flag

Review by: Sal

Hi everyone! Welcome again to my another one of my Hot Spot Reviews. I am your host, Sal. And today I will be reviewing Jericho. Its the 10th episode, called "Red Flag". And firstly lets start with the ratings. The latest episode of Jericho scored around 9.8 Million Viewers. Now this is good for this series, and actually Jericho has been slipping slightly, but thanks to this episode they managed to bump again. So...now for the review.

Now the main reason I love this show is because it manages to keep you interested every episode. Every episode that I watch, I manage to get goosebumps because of all the suspense. So the episode begins with some packages being dropped by old war planes. Apparently the chinese are giving them supplies. But one thing that didnt come to my mind, which I found smart was that some of the people of Jericho thought that it might be a trap. Or a second phase of invasion. Sending supplies so that they could get ill and not be able to fight back...

One thing I didnt understand though, is at the end. Did they finally decide to eat the supplies or not? I also loved how realistic the writers were, when they showed that the townspeople were arguing for the supplies. And that some of them actually turned their back on their mayor. Which I can believe, because when its a town full of hungry people, and on guy tells you not to eat a whole seasons supply of food, I would be pissed too!

Someone is finally running against the mayor. Now the Greene family better beware, because of the way things are going, I think that the elections are going to be tough. Joana, the town gang leader, apparently has deals with a lot of the villagers. If your desperate enough, wont you break a deal with the devil? Which is what I found interesting. Joana sometimes helps the towns, but you always know that there is something behind it that he wants instead.

As usual, the tension rises when Joana takes away the towns generator. Which is one of the things which was dropped by the Chinese planes. See the writers know how to do this. Turn something tiny, into something so dramatical and so important. What I also didnt expect, was when Eric found out his wife April was pregnant. He STILL chose his mistress (Mary) over her. That got me mad.

So yes, the usual drama for the people of Jericho keeps on adding. I think that the next episode would be there mid-season finale. But I am not sure yet. Anyway, it was fun writing this. And I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. Fans, please give your thoughts!

Take care
