TV Hot Spot: One Tree Hill
One Tree Hill Episode 8: Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye
Review by: Sal & Shai
Hey everyone. I am your host (Sal) and with me is your co-host (Shai). And we are both going to review the latest episode of One Tree Hill. The ratings for this episode was a 1.8/3. Which means around 3 Million viewers. Not bad considering it was up against tought episodes on wednesday. Ok so on with the review!
Sal: So the episode starts with Brooke going to Lucas's house. Now we both agreed that the whole storyline of Brooke, Lucas and Peyton is an old and over-rated one. I dont see why Peyton is still spending the night over with Lucas. I mean I know she just had a stalker running after her, but the fact that she cant move on annoys me in a way. Sleeping in the same bed, is kinda odd for me.
Shai: Yah...The whole love triangle was boring in season 1 and its definetly boring in season 4. If Lucas and Peyton do hook up, then it would mean that the whole of seasons 2 and 3 were pointless seeing as Lucas confessed that Brooke was the love of his life. And now they throw it all out of the window? What I also dont like is the fact that they are going to portray Brooke as the bad guy in all of this, jumping from guy to guy, but that isnt really the case because she wouldnt have hooked up with Nick (who by the way I am glad is out of the picture) if it wasnt for the hurt Lucas put on her. I was very dissapointed with how they ended the whole brooke/lucas relationship. The writers should have had them talk it out, and realise that they did love eachother but that now they both have grown out of it. Lucas changed since Keiths death. And Brooke has changed ever since she became more independent.
Sal: Lets head on with Nathan shall we. Now here is what I think is stupid. The fact that he accepted that offer from Dante. Like when he took back his car. I think it was a dumb move, and basically had to have consequences.
Shai: I dont like how the writers are making Lucas look down on Nathan. Lucas was in trouble many times, but why is he pissed at Nathan? Shouldnt he help his brother instead of scold him? When Lucas was a jerk about the whole Nikki thing in the past, you didnt see Nathan judging him. I just dont like it how the writers are making Lucas look like Mr. Perfect, because he is not!
Sal: As you can see, Shai is a huge fan of Brooke and Nathan. Not that I disagree with her, I do prefer their characters instead of Peyton and Lucas. So I think we should move on with....Dan & Karen. Dan isnt fooling anyone at all with his little mind games. But what I find hard is he is such a good actor that I actually believe him sometimes! Although the only reason he is even nice to Karen was because of his guilt. Of killing his own brother.
Shai: I think Karen could have a good influence on him. And remember, when Nathan went to Dan for help. Dan was being a jerk and didnt offer him anything. So you could see that there is still some evil in him. And when he got Deb out of jail, he was meant to her as well.
Sal: Yah your right. Ok so lets round it up. The Rachel & Haley storyline. And the Mouth & Jeje storyline both bring humor to the episode. I like how they put that in, because it gave us something else to focus on and laugh about instead of the drama of Tree Hill.
Shai: Yes! We can officially say Tutor girl is BACK! And if I were Haley I wouldnt want to tutor Rachel (seeing as she flirted with Nathan before) but I like her as a tutor. And Mouth and Jeje is so cute. Its a cute interaction, when Jeje crept up behind him and smacked his butt was so funny! I also liked the fact that Mouth told Rachel he was going with Jeje to the banquet, instead of with Rachel.
Sal & Shai: So we both think that having Derrick in jail was stupid. We both thought that there would be much more to the story. And that they could use it for future episodes. And plus Shai doesnt really like Peyton, so if a stalker is out to get her, I dont think Shai would mind. (lol) Ok guys. It was nice reviewing this episode. Hope to write another one soon. Take care, and keep the comments coming.
