TV Hot Spot: Reba
Reba Premier of Season 6 Episodes 1 & 2:
Lets Get Physical & Just Business
Review by: Sal
Hola! Your Host (Sal) here as usual. And I am here today, to post about Reba's premier. For their sixth season. Now this series was treated very badly by the new network. The CW. Which I find stupid. Reba is their most watched sitcom. And they proved it last sunday. Now, everyone had their expectations for Reba, thinking that it would score well, but not excellent. Turns out they were wrong. Scoring a 2.8/4 for the night, which means around 4.5 Million Viewers. Reba actually is now one of the most watched CW channels. I bet you those CW executives feel pretty stupid, for not only 'thinking' of canceling the show, but also keeping it on hold for so long. The only reason The CW did bring back Reba, was because their other fall show "Runaway" bombed on Sunday Nights. Wise decision, bringing Reba back.
Ok so a big SHOCKER. Which I did NOT see coming. Barbra Jean. Is THIN! Not like normal thin, and not like average thin. She is thin thin! As in skinny! As in SMALLER than REBA! It was a shock to me. And to be honest, even though I am happy for her. I found the overweight Barbra jean funnier. Because it suited the role. Her and Reba were total opposites. And now. I dont know...I will need a few episodes for me to get used to the 'new' her.
The premier consisted of two different episodes. The first one, was basically circulating around the fact that Barbra Jean had lost all the weight. And the second one was around Reba's and Van's business together. All in all, I found these two episodes quite funny. The writing was great, and the usual feel-good family comedy came into mind. It was realistic, and it was good. Although, Kyra, has changed too. You dont see alot of her at the premier, and I wonder why that is. And something else I have noticed. Where is Van's daughter? For so many seasons the baby has been in about every episode. And all of a sudden. The sixth season premier. It vanishes lol! Not even one mention of her too.
Oh well. Thats all I have to say again. Lets hope Reba keeps on saving The CW's Sundays. And the fact that it already did, is a very good sign. Im your host. Sal. And keep the comments coming!
Take care.
