Christmas Day was all about fun and games as NBC led the ratings on Monday night with its two game shows.
NBC drew a healthy 8.3 rating/16 share for primetime, handily beating ABC, 4.8/9, CBS, 3.3/6, FOX, 2.2/4, and the CW, 0.9/2.
The adults 18-49 race also went NBC's way, as it averaged a 4.9 rating in the key ad demographic. ABC finished second with a 3.2, while CBS, 1.7, edged out FOX, 1.3. The CW trailed with a 0.6.
NBC started out with the night's highest rating with "Deal or No Deal" at 8 p.m. scoring a 9.2/19. Second went to the beginning of ABC's airing of "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" at 4.3/9. CBS came in third with a 2.4/5 for a couple "How I Met Your Mother" repeats, while FOX stayed in the game with a 2.1/4 for the Cuba Gooding Jr. film "Radio." The CW only managed a 0.9/2 for its "Everybody Hates Chris"/"All of Us" combo.
The story remained the same for the 9 o'clock hour. NBC's mastery held with more "Deal or No Deal" drawing an 8.8/16, followed by ABC's swashbuckling movie, 4.9/9, CBS' "Two and a Half Men"/"How I Met Your Mother" comedy block, 3.4/6, more "Radio" on FOX, 2.1/4 and the CW's "Girlfriends" and "The Game," 0.9/2.
NBC finished the night on top once again, switching it up with another game show, "1 vs. 100," drawing a 6.9/13 at 10 p.m. ABC wrapped up its Johnny Depp lovefest with a 5.3/10, while CBS took a 4.2/8 for its "CSI: Miami" repeat.
