TV Hot Spot: Til Death
Til Death Episode 8: Death Sex
Review by: Sal
Hey readers, hope you are all feeling well today and excited as I am that the weekend has finally come. To start off, lets give a warm welcome to a new show who is joining our blog family. "Til Death" is show made by the FOX network, and has been highly promoted throughout the US. (I know this because I visited the US for a month this summer and have seen this show's posters everywhere). Even though FOX had spent alot on advertising for this show it failed to be called a 'Hit'. From premier night until today, "Til Death" and another FOX series are the only 2 left standing from their new fall list of shows. This show has averaged a stable amount of viewers, but many dont understand why FOX is not pulling the plug yet. The Executives at FOX believe that this show still has some hope of turning into something. After 8 episodes, we have yet to see a change in the ratings...
So for this week, the 8th episode, the show rated a 3.0/5 which means around 4.77 Million Viewers. This is the exact same ratings as the shows last episode 2 weeks ago. I presume FOX has a plan under their sleeves to try and up the ratings for the show. But honestly, if the numbers keeps on falling then I dont see how this show will survive. Dont get me wrong, I am a fan of this show and absolutely love the interaction between the characters of it. I think the jokes are funny, and the writing is done well. I just dont see why many dont see it the same way I do...So I guess we shall begin with a review of the episode!
This series tackles married life. From Newlyweds, Steph & Jeff, to two people who were married for many many years, Joy & Eddie. Now the more episodes I watch, the more I understand these characters and the way things work. In this episode we see Eddie have a back problem which he immdediatly thinks is some kind of 'disease'. The writers were hilarious when they made it seem like the world was ending to Eddie, and slowly turn into the best thing that has ever happened to him. "Having Joy think I'm dying is great! I've never felt so alive!" That line was funny. Seeing Joy do all of those nice things for him, it did make me wonder why they aren't they always like that...but then again, that wouldn't be funny!
Steph introduces Mr. Pyjamas. A cat of hers who lived for 21 years and died just a few months ago. Seeing her act out her emotions infront of Eddie was so funny, and I liked this episode because it didnt involve alot of the newlyweds. It was mainly focusing on the relationship between Eddie & Joy which was a good thing for me. Finally in the end Joy finds out Eddie isnt dying and everything goes back to normal. All in a day's work for Eddie!
Final thoughts on the episode. I dont mind what people say about this show, I find it hilarious and will continue supporting it. Hopefully this has been a good addition to the blog's show list, and thank you all for reading. Comments will be appreciated!
Take care
