TV Hot Spot: Til Death

Til Death 1x10: Daddy's Little Girl

Review by: Sal

Hey guys! I will keep the reviews coming as the days fly by (hopefully). Firstly I just want to say a Merry Christmas to everyone, hope you are all going to enjoy yourselves today. I will be busy myself, seeing as I have a christmas dinner to get to, but I don't see how that concerns this review in particular. So I guess I can begin with the ratings. The latest episode of this series, which is the 10th so far, has brought in around 5.2 Million Viewers. This is up from last week's episode and is a very good sign seeing as the numbers have slowly been increasing and actually pushed the show above the 5 Million Mark. Hopefully this will keep rising when the new episodes are released again, which is sometime next month. But for now, I will review the mid-season finale episode.

Ok so we didn't have a shocker in the episode, and it wasn't as funny as the episodes before. The writing is still good, and the lines still bring humour into the series. But I felt that the writers need to give the series something extra. Something where it would actually keep even more viewers interested and returning to watch it week after week. This episode was concentrating on Eddie & Joy's daughter. She came to town, and the first thing that happened was the boyfriend she loved dumped her via a text message. The episode then continues on and shows Eddie & Joy fighting over for their daughters love, and how far Eddie will go to change for her.

The main point of the episode, I think, was basically family. But the thing that stuck out for me, was the daughter. Joy looked too young to be a mother of a daughter that old. To be honest, I knew that their daughter was in a university, but when I saw the two together in a room I noticed it and I wasn't buying it. It didn't look right to me for some reason, and when I mentioned it to Shai she agreed with me. Besides that little thing, I enjoyed the episode. The way the characters are presented especially in this type of scenario was a good thing to see.

This series is in its first season, so we have to accept the episodes we are given. Whether we will see a second season for this series is totally up in the air. But one thing is for sure, if this show doesn't increase their numbers during the airing of "American Idol" FOX network is going to pull the plug at the end of its first season. Lets hope that isnt the case, because I actually like the show. The cast is what I like best about it, and the whole idea of an old marriage merged with a new marriage kind of thing. Its funny TV.

A few weeks ago, there was a delay in the delivery of the episodes and it was basically because Brad Garret (Eddie), the main character, had a problem with the script of an upcoming episode. And for some reason, while watching this episode I was thinking it might be this one and him having to slip in to that baby outfit. Yes it was funny, but it was embarrassing! Oh well, even though we will never know which episode it was he didn't like I did enjoy the comedic effect included in this one.

During the episode Eddie's daughter is confused about her upbringing and how she is so much like Eddie. And in the end, she learns that she doesn't want to change the way she is and is glad to be like her father. (Aww). The funniest part is at the end. The family as a whole is so synical and funny that it reminds me why I watch the series in the first place. A great comedy show.

Ok guys! I guess that is all from me. We have no new shows coming out until the 3rd of January, and the only review coming your way is "Justice"'s finale review. Sadly the series was only taken for 12 episodes and no more will be made. So thank you all for reading and thank you all for visiting!

Take Care
