TV Hot Spot: Men In Trees
Men In Trees 1x13: History Lessons
Review by: Sal & Shai
Sal: Hello everyone! Me and Shai are about to review the latest episode of "Men In Trees". It is the 13th episode of the season and we are still not informed by ABC on how many episodes the season is going to have. Besides that the series in general is heading into the right direction. With a solid storyline and a solid cast it manages to bring in a strong number of viewers each week. Still not considered a 'hit' this fresh new series is still trying to prove itself one by airing on the tough Thursday Nights. So I guess Shai will cover the ratings for the episode. Take it away Shai!
Shai: You whats up! (lol). Ok so ratings, this episode got around 10.7 Million Viewers now with the previous information you gave me, I think that the episodes are going up and actually might go above the 11 Million mark! Last episode managed to bring in around 10.3 Million viewers, and so lets hope that the next episode does the same and goes higher. One thing before you start off the review, I would just like to say that I HATE Jack!
Sal: (lol) Strong beginning! Ok so in this episode we see a giveaway being planned by the people of Elmo and Mai is in charge! Alot of the cast members volunteer for this special event and this slowly turns into a message for Marin and gives her a new look into an inspiration. Stuart, Marin's publisher, comes to visit Elmo to see how her little writer is doing. Of course we learn that he might have some feelings towards Marin, and she might be feeling the same!
Shai: Ok before you get into details about that relationship, let me first say that the whole thing about the Jack, Marin and Lynn triangle is getting pretty annoying. I am getting so tired of these writers taking these relationships into circles. I didn't even see the whole Jack and Lynn thing coming, I never knew that they were back together. And seeing Jack with Lynn just makes me realise what a jerk he has become. I don't get it, he tells Marin he still has feelings for her and the next episode he is back with Lynn? Did we miss an episode?!
Sal: I know what you mean Shai. I didn't see that coming and it annoyed the hell out of me. Another thing that annoyed me, was when Patrick wanted to propose. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for him to propose and everytime he wanted to something comes in the way! Finally, in the end of the episode he manages to propose to her and the situation he was in was hilarious. Having his foot caught in that trap. Although the writers didn't show us her answer. But I am sure its a yes, we waited all this time and I hope that Annie has some sense just to say yes!
Shai: Yup I thought that was funny! I always liked Annie and Patrick although I have to admit that Annie gets on my nerves a few times! But in this episode the couple were amazing. Another storyline which we saw, was the Ben, Theresa & Sarah triangle. If you remember in the last episode we saw Sarah return to Elmo, probably hoping to rekindle her relationship with Ben. And in this episode she confronts Ben and Theresa making out in the kitchen. Big surprise! Although I don't see why it is such a big story. She comes in and sees them in a relationship. I think it was her fault for leaving, so she kind of deserved it.
Sal: Ok so other than the storylines. Back to Marin. She has given up on Jack, and she is moving on. I think thats the one thing the writers are doing right. Giving Marin a piece of mind and just living her life writing. In the episode her publisher tells her that she lost her muse and needs to find it again. Find the aspiration she once had. And with the giveaway she runs into someone who is leaving Elmo. A woman that built her house on her own and paints. Her house is for sale and is right next to a beautiful lake. And here...is where Marin gets her inspiration from again!
Shai: Wohoo! So I guess that is all from us now right? I mean we talked about the storylines...the ratings...the show....Marin...yup all done! Thank you all for reading and I guess me and Sal will be moving on to another review shortly! Look out for two more reviews coming to you today, "The O.C." and "Ugly Betty"!
Take Care
