I have a plethora of scooplets for you, loyal Weedthusiasts. First, even though it's burning to the ground, it's not the last time we've seen Agrestic. Second, Nancy's name might've been given to the feds, but someone else will end up behind bars. (Someone who gets a ridonkulously funny makeover and whom I desperately want to start up a sitcom with Jeffrey Tambor.) And finally, Nancy is heading for the border, and it ain't for Taco Bell! (Or even Roberto's, which, as a San Diego native, I can tell you is the s--t.)

In the fourth-season opener, Nancy, Andy and the boys, on the run after she set fire to their house, head to the beach and a "heartwarming family reunion" with Judah's grandmother. They are met with a surprise, and a reunion with her irascible father-in-law (Albert Brooks). Back home, the cops grill Celia, and Doug and Dean finger her as the owner of the grow house.

New Faces on Weeds, Chuck, & Samantha Who?!

Mexican actor Demian Bichir has joined the cast of Showtime's "Weeds."

Meanwhile, "Arrested Development" alum Tony Hale has landed recurring roles on two sophomore series, NBC's "Chuck" and ABC's "Samantha Who?"

In a nine-episode arc on the upcoming fourth season of "Weeds," Bichir will play Esteban, the mayor of Tijuana.

Bichir, who has won a best actor Ariel Award (Mexico's version of the Oscars), next appears in Steven Soderbergh's "Che" (in which he plays Fidel Castro) as well as "Fuera Del Cielo" and "Enemigos Intimos." He is repped by UTA and manager Sekka Scher.

On "Chuck," Hale will play Emmett, the new assistant manager of the Buy More Store where Chuck (Zachary Levi) works. An efficiency expert, he is sent in by Buy More corporate and decides to stay on when he realizes how poorly run the store is.

On "Samantha," Hale will play Andy Adams, Samantha's (Christine Applegate) new doctor.

Hale is repped by Gersh and Framework.

Albert Brooks Is Waiting in the 'Weeds'!

Albert Brooks will be joining the cast of "Weeds" when the Showtime comedy has its fourth season premiere this June.

"Weeds" will kick off its new season on Monday, June 16 at 10 p.m. ET with Brooks making his first appearance as Len Botwin, estranged father-in-law/father to Mary-Louise Parker's Nancy and Justin Kirk's Andy.

Brooks' character comes into play as the Botwin clan (and a couple of their close friends and associates) leave the smoldering ruins of Agrestic behind and take up residence in Ren Mar, a fictional beach community nearly the Mexican border. The Botwins will be moving in with Len's ailing mother, which causes family tensions.

It's expected that Brooks will appear in at least four of the season's 13 episodes.

An Oscar nominee for "Broadcast News" and beloved by a generation of children for his voice work in Pixar's "Finding Nemo," Brooks' most recent credits as a writer-director-star include "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World," "The Muse" and "Mother."

A Showtime rep confirms that Weeds has tapped Albert Brooks to play Nancy's estranged father-in-law, Len, in at least four episodes. The Oscar-nominated multi-hyphenate — whose prior TV work has been limited to Simpsons voice-overs and a few random '70s guest stints — will turn up early in Season 4, which debuts June 16.

In related news, Showtime has released the following semi-spoilery preview of Season 4:

He is a tough old man with a temper who is set in his ways, and has never felt comfortable with anyone non-Jewish being in his family. There has always been some tension between him and Nancy who was married to Judah before he died, but Jack certainly does have a soft spot in his heart for his grand kids. Agent Shlatter
