'One Life to Live' Actor Allegedly Attacked Bystanders

Nathaniel Marston, who plays a doctor on "One Life to Live," was in a real-life hospital after an altercation over the weekend.

The 32-year-old actor allegedly attacked three people in New York on Sunday morning, Oct. 21, landing in Bellvue Hospital, reports The New York Daily News.

The attack reportedly occurred around 4:50 a.m. at 45th St. and 10th Ave. Marston allegedly was in a taxi when he hopped out and started arguing with the driver. Then, without provocation, he picked up a metal crate and attacked a bystander, Salavatore Cabibbo, who was drinking a cup of coffee.

"He was crazed -- I don't know the guy from a hole in the wall," said Cabibbo. "I've never seen anything like that."

Marston struck Cabibbo a glancing blow. During his rampage, Marston allegedly broke one man's leg before cops struggled to subdue him. According to officers, the actor appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

He was charged with two counts each of felony assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon as well as one count of resisting arrest. When he was taken to Bellevue, he was labeled an "emotionally disturbed" person. Marston has admitted to problems with anger management in the past.

Marston is known for portraying Dr. Michael McBain on ABC's "One Life to Live," where he originally played Al Holden. Before that, he played Eddie Silva on "As the World Turns."
