'General Hospital' Star Pleads No Contest to DUI

Soap star Kirsten Storms' real-life drama continuted in a Los Angeles courtroom today.

The "General Hospital" and "Days of Our Lives" actress had her attorney plead no contest to drunk driving charges on her behaolf on Wednesday, Nov. 7, reports TMZ.com.

Storms was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered to attend 12 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings beginning immediately and must pay a $390 fine. Her license is also suspended for six months.

The actress was busted for drunk driving in September. The 23-year-old actress allegedly flicked a lit cigarette butt from the window of her blue Mercedes while driving on a Los Angeles freeway. When the officers approached, they "noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle."

As the city's finest, they decided to administer a battery of sobriety tests, after which Storms was arrested for DUI. She was booked at Van Nuys Jail and later released on $5,000 bail.

Younger viewers may remember her from stints on "Second Noah" and "7h Heaven." She teamed up with The Disney Channel for the "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" films and still works with the children's channel as a voice on "Kim Possible."

She's best known as the sweet ingenue Isabella "Belle" Black on NBC's "Days of Our Lives," which she on through 2004 when she switched over to prime time for the short-lived "Clubhouse." Storms returned to her soapy roots as Maxie Jones on ABC's "General Hospital."
